To answer your question, yes I got “a” sample to play, but it was only about 1/4 second in duration… long enough to say something like “apple” but not “emergency”, as in my attached wav file a few posts up. ![]() At least this is what I think is happening… I haven’t calculated the time constant or scoped the wave. In the spirit of what you said earlier about misinformation, I guess I should have worded it in a less misleading way but essentially I meant what you put into words for me - the inherent capacitance of my circuit (there is no amp) is enough to delay the rise and fall of the square wave edges so that the next pulse happens so fast, there’s insufficient time for the edge to fully develop or decay, giving you kind of a saw-tooth that floats around the DC voltage of interest.
